New Feature: Color Space / Gamut Control: Gamut and colour space processing can be applied in dedicated tools, as well as in Loader and Saver and other Source/Creator Tools. Gamma and Log controls are provided to visualise the curve. Can specify separate colour space and gamma option, specify whether to just assign them, or whether to remove gamma. Additional colour space definitions can be put in Profile:GamutList.def, and they'll be merged in with 'standard' definitions. Shows the soft clip break-point, and upper limit. and indicates where the linear toe extends to. Provides pre-divide/post-multiply option for colour space operations. Colour operations are bi-directional, supporting both source and dest directions. Support for a variety of preset definitions, including Rec601, ECI v2, SMPTE170, ITU-R BT.2020, BT.709, etc. Provides depth option similar to CineonCore, where the depth of the result can be kept, forced to a specific depth, or automatically chosen (ie. promoted to some kind of float). Auto mode for Loaders/Source tools, with the "Remove curve" option enabled, will attempt to remove the gamma specified in or loaded into Image metadata. Savers provide a "Keep" option, indicating that nothing will be changed. Added Sony S-Log2 and S-Log3 log modes, and Sony S-Gamut3.Cine colour space. Added ACESlog (not to be confused with ACESproxy10 or ACESproxy12).
New feature: Customizable View Layout Allows complete customization of view layout and docking. A context menu on the Tabs across the top of a pane allows views to be added, removed and undocked. Multiple of each view type can be created. Views with no tabs can be adjusted with their "View Layout" context menu Views can be dragged by their tab, and dropped into another docking position. Overlays will appear during dragging to indicate valid dock targets. Multiple Custom View layouts can be loaded and saved, via the Window->View Layouts Menu. Customised view layouts can also be saved in comps, and in Prefs/Layout. Floating views other than GLView now use the TOOLWINDOW style smaller titlebar, to distinguish them from traditional New Views. New View now respects the Always On Top pref when first opened. Closing the comp's main (last) document window will also close any floating views for that comp, excluding GLViews which can work with other comps. Activating a comp (e.g. by clicking or from the Window menu) can hide the floating views (other than GLView) for all other comps, to reduce clutter. This behavior can be controlled via Window/Only Show Active Comp menu. New Frame Window and New Floating Window can be created from the main Window menu.
New Feature: Alembic Import Added support for importing Alembic scene files, via import dialog. Import Information:
Sub-frame times are supported, with automatic interpolation between mesh keyframes. Optionally imports orphaned transforms Ability to import in world space. Detects Maya-specific hints to automatically set the resolution gate appropriately. Implemented the Import Camera Inverse Transforms option. Ogawa based Alembic files couldn’t be imported. Imported tools are now named using the Alembic full name. Now reports unimportable nodes to the Console view.
New Feature: Script Debugger Added a script debugger interface. Works with any supported language (currently Python 2.7, Python 3.3, and Lua). Can execute scripts using a comp or global scripting context. Scripts can be single-stepped (into/over/out). Supports setting breakpoints in scripts. Can manually break execution of the script, via ctrl-break hotkey or the toolbar button. A simple watch interface can be used to view variables or expressions at runtime. Can 'catch' scripts as they are executed on a particular context.
New Feature: OpenColor IO Added support for OpenColorIO Files, CDL files and OCIO colour spaces. OCIOColorSpace and OCIOColorSpaceViewLUT will default to using LUTs:DefaultConfig.ocio, if the OCIO Config file name option and OCIO env var are both empty. Added a default config, installed into Fusion:LUTs.
New feature: Onion Skin Onion-skinning draws multiple polyline shapes from different times, giving an instant overview of the animation of polylines at any time. Controls can be accessed from the polyline context-menu or toolbar, including a dialog to adjust settings for timing and number of 'skins' to display. Can show the onion-skin at the poly keys, instead of time steps. Can be shown relative to an 'anchor' time, rather than current time. The path each point takes can optionally be plotted between 'skins' 'Ctrl+Alt+O' will toggle onion-skin mode. The Spline Preferences page allows setting default options for Onion Skin.
New Feature: Roto Assist Provides an automated roto-assist function for dealing with poly masks. Added Ctrl+R to enable/disable roto assist. Accessed via the polyline context-menu or toolbar. Automatically detects and follows edges/contours or details in the target footage. Can auto-adjust points as they are added, moved, or when stepping time. Settings can be adjusted via Splines preference page. Roto assist settings are loaded/saved with the comp Improved Roto Assist:
Improved accuracy of edge detection, with better streaking and noise rejection. Improved setting handles along the edge tangent. Fixed problems finding edges when clicking outside of the Image DataWindow. The ‘u’ key can be held down while adding or adjusting a point, to temporarily disable edge snapping. Draws a portion of the detected edge while adding or dragging points, to give an indication where the point will be snapped to.
New Tool: Custom Vertex 3D Provides the ability to modify values in 3D geometry based on custom expressions, similar to the functionality provided by Custom and pCustom for Images and Particles, respectively. Most streams can be modified, including position, normals, color, texture coordinates, environment coordinates, tangents and velocity vectors. Any streams not already present in the geometry will be created if a non-default expression is used for that stream.
New Tool: ReplaceNormals
New Tool: Weld
New Tool: Triangulate
New Tool: SSAO
New Tool: Mirror Sampling
New Tool: Ribbon 3D
New Feature: Dimension Dimension is now a standard Fusion feature! Optical Flow Stereo Dispartiy tools Dimension’s FlowSpeed and FlowStretcher are no longer separate from TimeSpeed and TimeStretcher. TimeSpeed/Stretcher now contain the optical flow functionality. Any existing comp will convert FlowSpeed/Stretcher to TimeSpeed/Stretcher on load.
